This page is dedicated to the past and former M.O.M champs who are gone (for that month that they got the breaks beaten of them LOL) but not forgotten!!
Is Mr. Ken Wayne Masters native of FT Worth Married for 21 years to the love of his life Jametta Masters. A Father of 3 wonderful daughters Brittnay, Brooklyn and Kenisha and 2 Blu Pitbull’s named Diamond and Jade. (And yes all the females run the house - dogs included LOL) Ken is a local business Owner and G.C. of I.D.I Services of Ft worth that specializes in all types of Home remolding and construction. Ken also is a Youth Baseball Coach and a active member of several community organisations supporting Youth empowerment and growth.
Ken has been fishing all his life, but it wasn’t until spring of 2013 that he hooked into a Hawg and was Hooked from then on. Ken is an avid angler competing, placing and winning at local and statewide events. From the Local Tuesday - Thurs night working man's tournaments to the yearly Quad State 3-day event which is comprised of members from Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Ken's states his is favorite bait is the famous Yamamoto Senko all flavors and colors considered (but has been known to toss a few YUM Dinger's when he needs to make something happen)
At this past month’s Tournament, Ken fished hard and long, battling the heat and Hawgs on the Beautiful East Texas Lake Bob Sandlin. The bite was tough, but Ken pulled it off at the scales placing first with a total combined weight of 8.81 Lbs. which he took first place awarding him with a beautiful trophy and nice piece of spare change (ching - ching). So, let give up to this month's Champ and Featured Member Ken W. Master owner of the ship A.K.A The Kraken.
This month it is Mr. Patrick Henderson. Big Pat is a native of the Big D Yall! (Oak Cliff that’s my hood). He has been happily married for over 27 years with 2 wonderful children (one who is a fellow Bass Banger and club member himself Cam Henderson.) Pat is certified ASE Automotive Technician by trade and currently manages a team of certified fleet engineers and technicians for one of the largest national Fleet Solutions company in America. Pat started fishing at a very young age with his grandfather catching crappie by the boat load. Honing his skills using various finesse fishing techniques for that famous sac-a-lait (aka that Ol’ Crappie). Pat had a run in with a brother at a boat dock one day who asked him did he know how to Bass fish? At that time Pat had caught a few of the green goblins but never really focused on perfecting his skills for Bass. But one day he hooked up with that same dude that he met at that Ol’ boat ramp and they went out, Pat got Hooked and has been in love with the sport ever since. Now known as P.H. (Rod Father) Pat’s Bass skills are what-that is! And his finesse fishing game is on point (ZMan TRD Baby). So if you see that White Legend going across your lake…..look out cause trouble is coming!
This tournament was a real head-banger folks. Eagle Mountain brought the Wind, Heat, Rec boats, Jet Skis and Yacht’s. The overall conditions were a true test of endurance, determination and most of all patience. But Mr. Henderson pulled off a 5 bass limit consisting of 4 Kentucky Bass and 1 Black. With a little over a hour left on the clock he found, he caught and sacked what he needed to end the day and lock in a win. Now the weight was lite with the scales tipping off at 3.62 lbs total bag weight but given the fishing conditions, Rod Father secured a 1st place finish out of 9 other boaters which was an extremely difficult task. The Rod Father now holds the Big Trophy and the Fat check! (If it don’t make $$$$ it don’t make cents) So let’s give it up to this month’s Big Dawg, Champ and featured Member of the Month “Big” Pat Henderson aka The Rod Father…
